Three questions to Miroslav BLAZEVIC, CROATIA team coach

– What is your general feeling before playing this World Cup quarter final against GERMANY?

“I’m irritated by the German media who claim that the Croatian team is weak and that this match will not be a problem for them. This annoyed my players.

This will be a chance for revenge for Euro 96 but in a good sportsman spirit.

It’s an honour to play against the European champion and the two time winner of the World Cup.

– What do you think of your opponent…Its weaknesses and strengths?

One of the German characteristics is that they never give up and always fight to the last second.

On a tactical level, they play with three forwards and have an excellent header, Oliver BIERHOFF. We will be careful but without changing our own tactics.

– According to you, what are your strong points in this match?

You don’t change a winning team. My players are physically ready. There is room for improvement on the psychological level. Concerning motivation, the importance of this match is more than enough.
