FRANCE 98 – Nigerian training at Ressons-sur-Matz

Initially scheduled for 9 h 00, NIGERIA’s (Group C) public training session did not start until 10 h 30. KANU (4), the centre-forward who had been slightly injured, rejoined the squad. He mixed team workouts with some light running on his own around the pitch. AMOKACHI (14), on the other hand, was not at training, having stayed at the hotel this morning. At about 10 h 45 the team received a visit from the secretary general of the Nigerian federation, Sani Amhed Toro.
