FRANCE 98 – Nigeria: the Minister for Youth and Sport joins the base camp

On Sunday night, the Nigerian players were visited at NIGERIA’s (Group D) base at the château de Bellinglise (Oise) by their Minister for Youth and Sport, Sanson Emka Omeruah. He was accompanied by the Nigerian ambassador to France, Buny Sherif. Together they toasted Victor IKPEBA’s (20) birthday – he turned 25 on Friday 12 June “His best birthday present was beating SPAIN (3-2),” they said, “but the team will have to keep up the hard work to prepare for the even more difficult challenges to come.”
