FRANCE 98 – Nigeria – B. Milutinovic: “The most important game is the second round in Saint-Denis on Sunday”

“Our two victories so far and the fact that we have already guaranteed qualification for the second round allow us to approach our match against PARAGUAY with no worries at all. The most important game is the second round in SAINT-DENIS on Sunday. With that in mind, I don’t yet know what side I will put out on Wednesday. Apart from Uche UKECHUKWU (5) who is suspended, three players are already on a yellow card – Victor IKPEBA (20), Mutiu ADEPOJU (8) and Jay-Jay OKOCHA (10) – and perhaps it would be reasonable to rest them. But in each case, I’m well enough covered not to worry about anything. We have the advantage of having players who have played in competition at the highest level. For the time being I prefer not to say too much about what I intend to do so as not to give too much away to our opponents”.
