FRANCE 98 – Fishing trip for the players from Romania

After a meal, following their second training session on Monday June 8^th , a group of the Romanian players were treated to a fishing trip on the river Tarn which flows through the grounds of their hotel, “La Réserve” in Albi. The hotel manageress, who came up with the idea for the trip, went out and bought fishing rods, which delighted everyone in the group. For the record, Dorinel MUTEANU (8) only caught one fish. Of those players who did not go fishing, some relaxed around the hotel pool, Marius LACATUS (7) played cards whilst Gheorghe HAGI (10) enjoyed a game of “Rummy” – a sort of dominoes that has become the team’s favourite pastime since the World Cup in the USA in 1994.
