FRANCE 98 – Romania: probable line-up to face Colombia

The Romanian team likely to face COLOMBIA in the Group G match on Monday 15^th June in LYON, is likely to resemble the one which beat US Albi 5-2 on Wednesday 10^th June. The only likely change is the replacement of Ile DUMITRESCU (17), at the head of the Romanian attack, by Adrian ILIE (11), who had been rested by the coach, Anghel IORDANESCU, after bruising a calf in training. The line up for ROMANIA should be as follows : STELEA (1), PETRESCU (2), CIBOTARIU (13), Gheorghe POPESCU (6), FILIPESCU (18), MUNTEANU (8), HAGI, captain (10), GILCA (5), Gabriel POPESCU (16), ILIE (11) and MOLDOVAN (9). The other players apart from Tibor SELYMES (20), still suffering from a sprained left ankle, beat an Albi regional eleven 14-0 on Thursday June 11^th at Albi’s Rigaud stadium. The Romanian team were strengthened for the occasion by three US Albi players.
