RONALDO (9), who receives more than a hundred letters from Brazilian supporters everyday (he holds the team record for the amount of mail received), was pleasantly surprised to discover a tiny earring in a letter sent to him from a female admirer. RONALDO has decided he is going to wear the enamel earring in the BRAZIL team colours in each of Brazil’s World Cup outings. In accordance with the rules of the game, however, the Brazilian striker must now show the earring in question to the match referee before he plays his first game. The ref will then decide whether this good luck charm is safe to wear.
