FRANCE 98 – Scotland-Norway – J. Collins: “We really deserved to take all 3 points”

“We played very well, and we really deserved to take all 3 points, especially in the first half. We also put on a good display in the last 25 minutes. In the end, we’ve shown that our team has a lot of spirit, since everyone gave their all. For the next match, we’ll definitely have to score first. Anyway, SCOTLAND still believes it can qualify for the next round”.

“When the Norwegians scored, we were a little demoralised but we continued to play well. I took advantage of an opening in the defence, and I saw that a Norwegian defender was out of position, and the goalie had come out, so I lobbed it in to equalise. At that moment, we were sure we were going to win. Today, we were a better team, we could have won it several times, but we didn’t quite make it. If we manage to beat MOROCCO (23 June), we still have a chance to qualify”.
