FRANCE 98 – Communique Template

13 000 tickets were sold during the eighth day of ticket reservations by telephone. 42,000 tickets are still available to residents of the 18 countries in the European Economic Space for matches in the first round and round of sixteen (with the exception of the Opening match).

When the telephone platform closed at 8 pm this evening, Wednesday 29 April, 4 new games out of the 55 on offer were sold out :

  • Belgium/Mexico (no. 26), Saturday 20 June at 5.30 pm at the Parc Lescure in Bordeaux
  • Belgium/Republic of Korea (no. 41), Thursday 25 June at 4 pm, at the Parc des Princes in Paris
  • Argentina/Croatia (no. 48), Friday 26 June at 4 pm, at the Parc Lescure in Bordeaux
  • Round of Sixteen 1F/2E (no. 53), Monday 29 June at 4.30 pm at the La Mosson stadium in Montpellier

All the matches in the first round being played by the Belgian and Argentinian teams are now sold out; likewise all the matches taking place at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

The FRANCE 98 telephone platform will open again tomorrow, Thursday 30 April, from 8 am to 8 pm. Please note: it will be closed on Friday 1 May, but will open again as from Saturday 2 May and during the following days from 9 am to 8 pm.

A reminder: reservations for these tickets may be made exclusively by telephone and only on the numbers indicated below on a “first come first served” basis, with a limit of 4 tickets per person per match, and an overall limit of 16 tickets per person:

Payment for tickets ordered may be made by international bank card or, failing this, by certified bank cheque (made out in French francs and which must be received by the French Organising Committee within 7 days of placing the order). The use of a card (card number) or bank account is limited to a single order.
