FRANCE 98 – Communique Template

At the end of the fifth day of sales for individual tickets for first round and round of sixteen, four new matches were announced to be sold out Sunday 26 April at 8 p.m.

These 4 matches are :

  • Spain/Nigeria(n° 10), Saturday 13 June, at 2.30 p.m., at Stade de la Beaujoire, in Nantes
  • Scotland/Norway (n° 17), Tuesday 16 June, at 5.30 p.m., at Stade Lescure, in Bordeaux
  • United States/Iran (n° 30), Sunday 21 June, at 9 p.m., Stade de Gerland, in Lyon
  • Germany/Iran (n° 43), Thursday 25 June, at 9 p.m., Stade de La Mosson, in Montpellier

Five days after sales by telephone opened for individual tickets to residents of the 18 countries in the European Economic Space for first round and round of sixteen (except for the opening match), a total of 85,000 tickets have been sold. 16,000 tickets were sold on Sunday 26 April.

Sunday 26 April, the France Telecom Network registered 800,000 telephone calls – 400,000 of them from international callers.

France 98’s telephone platform, which closed at 8 p.m. this evening, will open again tomorrow, Monday 27 April, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the following days, at the same hours.

Don’t forget that reservations can only be made by telephone on the numbers given, according to the principle of “first come first served,” with a limit of 4 tickets per person per match, and with an overall limit of 16 tickets per person.

There are three special numbers to call if you want to make reservations:

Payment for tickets ordered can be made by bank card, or failing this, a certified banker’s cheque (made out in French francs and which must be received by the French Organising Committee no later than 7 days after the order is made). Use of a card (card number) or a bank account is limited to a single order
