Comments from NANTES

DUNGA, Captain (8):

“We’re going to have to be wary of MOROCCO. HADJI, the playmaker, particularly worries me because he moves out for the ball a lot. All the teams play in the same way when faced with BRAZIL, that is to say they bunch up in defence. This tactic is dangerous for us because it exposes us to counter-attacks. I’m going to give my all for the team.”

 BEBETO (20):

“As we move through the competition BRAZIL will improve, particularly as far as teamwork goes. Once we get through this second match against MOROCCO, we’ll begin to play more offensively. I have no doubt that we’ll win this World Cup, even if we can’t take the Moroccans lightly.”

 CAFU (2):

“This match will be very difficult because MOROCCO plays a fast game. I’ve already played this team in a friendly match, but it’s obvious that our second World Cup game will be different as the level is higher.”

DENILSON (19):

“MOROCCO plays very well for the first sixty minutes but always finds it hard at the end of the match. That’s our chance. Personally I won’t be starting but, like when we played SCOTLAND, I’ll be ready to enter as soon as ZAGALLO needs me. I’m only twenty years old, so I’m quite happy to be a replacement.”

LEONARDO (18):

“I’m happy to play with Selecao again after six difficult months out injured. We’re still not putting a hundred percent into it but that’s normal, the best is still to come. We’ve seen MOROCCO play, they’re a dangerous opponent that above all we can’t take lightly. If we can manage to get the ball to move quickly, the game will be ours. For the moment, it’s really 50/50.”

CRUZ (15):

“Like NIGERIA, MOROCCO has a great technique. We’re still not playing our best but we’ll improve. I’m confident.”
