Today, Monday 18 May, the French Organising Committee officially took over the Stade de France at 23 days before the kick-off to the World Cup.
As from today, the CFO department in charge of the Saint-Denis venue is starting on the work and new lay-outs needed for the World Cup, including the Press Centre and Media Stand.
However, the CFO Saint-Denis team are concerned that journalists should have access to the stadium during the works period, and have drawn up the following visiting procedure:
- From Friday 22 May to Thursday 4 June inclusive
, members of the media may take pictures of the stadium in accordance with a schedule fixed by the CFO. In order to take part in these visits (from 10 am to midday), all media representatives should apply in writing at least 3 days in advance, indicating the exact number of people coming together with their names and functions. There is a limit of 3 people per press body.
Requests should be sent by fax to (33) 1 55 93 28 43.
The CFO will confirm its decision by return, depending on the number of media it has already accepted. The CFO reserves the right to cancel scheduled visits should there be any difficulty owing to the work going on. In this event, the media will be informed in advance and given another date.
- On Saturday 5 June,
between 2 and 6 p.m., a tour of the Stade de France is being laid on exclusively for members of the media accredited for Saint-Denis during the World Cup. Further details of the visit will be announced at a later date.
