World Cup FRANCE 98 – Press Releases
27 November 1996
From today, 27 November, tickets for the first round and round of sixteen matches for the 1998 World Cup will be on sale to the general public resident in France.
Special ticket: the FRANCE 98 PASS. This allows its holders to attend all the first round matches in the competition (except the opening match at the Saint-Denis) in the city of their choice, as well as one in the round of sixteen (except at Lyon and Nantes, where no matches are to be played at this stage of the competition).
The FRANCE 98 PASS is a guarantee of seeing 5 or 6 matches, depending on which city is chosen, all with totally different teams, at least two of which will be seeded.
The price range for the FRANCE 98 PASS, depending on the number of matches and seat category, starts at FF 725 and goes up to FF 2,250, with the option of paying in six monthly installments. There is a limit of 4 per person.
An impressive sales network has been set up by the French Organising Committee in the 8,000 branches of Crédit Agricole, the Official Bank of the 1998 World Cup. FRANCE 98 PASSES will be on sale until the end of February 1998. After this date, and according to availability, individual tickets can be bought for the first round and round of sixteen matches.
Tickets for the opening match, quarter-finals, semi-finals, third-place play-off and the Final will be on sale as from the autumn of 1997.
