FRANCE 98 PASS: Lyon sold out
Since ticket sales opened to the general public in France on 27 November last year, the Lyon FRANCE 98 PASSES, comprising 5 matches in the first round, have been rapidly disappearing. Categories 1 and 3 were the first to go, and now all the PASS seats in Category 2 have found takers.
Only a few days after closing reservations for the Lens FRANCE 98 PASSES , the French Organising Committee is pleased to be able to announce that the whole range of Lyon PASSES has also been sold.
The Stade de Gerland is the seventh World Cup stadium to be sold out, after the Stade de la Beaujoire at Nantes, the Stade de France at Saint-Denis, the Stade Vélodrome at Marseille, the Stade Lescure at Bordeaux, the Parc des Princes in Paris, and the Stade Bollaert at Lens. At this rate, the French Organising Committee predicts that all FRANCE 98 PASSES will be sold out between now and the middle of April.
To sum up, all seats for the 5 first round matches to be played at Lyon between 13 and 26 June 1998 have now been sold. Seats for the quarter-final there on 4 July 1998 will be on sale individually as from autumn this year.
Reservations for FRANCE 98 PASSES for matches in the first round and round of sixteen matches in the 16th World Cup can be made in 2,500 branches of Crédit Agricole, by telephone (0 803 00 1998), by Minitel (3615 FRANCE 98) or by post (FRANCE 98, BP 1998, 75201 Paris Cedex 16).
