World Cup FRANCE 98 – Press Releases
Paris, 23 May 1997
Pass 98: Montpellier sold out
In just less than six months, all MONTPELLIER 98 PASSES for the 1998 World Cup, which went on sale to the general public in France on 27 November 1996, have sold out. The PASS entitles the holder entry to all first round matches and one round of sixteen match. Categories 2 and 3 were the first to go, and then, finally today, the last of the category 1 tickets were snapped up.
For the general public in France, only individual tickets, slated to go on sale at the beginning of 1998, remain as yet unsold for matches in Montepellier.
Following in the footsteps of the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes, the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, the Stade Lescure in Bordeaux, the Parc des Princes in Paris, the Stade Bollaert in Lens, the Stade Gerland in Lyon and the Municipal Stadium in Toulouse, Stade de la Mosson in Montpellier is the last but one World Cup stadium to sell out.
As we go to press, only a few category 1 SAINT ETIENNE 98 PASSES remain unsold. Reservations may be made in 2,500 Crédit Agricole branches, by telephone on (33) 803 00 1998, by Minitel 3615 FRANCE 98, or by post to FRANCE 98 BP 1998, 75201 Paris cedex 16.
