| Nigerian coach Bora Milutinovic has invited five additional players for pre-World Cup training in Switzerland, a spokesman of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) said here Monday. The five called up are goalkeepers Abiodun Baruwa (FC Sion) and Ademola Bankole, from England’s Crewe Alexander, Barcelona’s Emmanuel Amunike, Henry Omozurike of Dutch outfit Eintranch and James Obiora from Anderlecht, according to NFA spokesman Austin Mgbolu.
Amunike had been struggling with injury but Barca have declared him fit. First-choice goalkeeper Ike Shorunmu of FC Zurich was dropped from the original list after suffering a compound fracture playing in the Zurich derby against Grasshopper at the weekend.
