GENERALE LOCATION, an Official Equipment Supplier to FRANCE 98
Générale Location became an Official Equipment Supplier to FRANCE 98 on Monday May 26 when Fernand Sastre and Michel Platini, Presidents of the French Organising Committee, signed an agreement with Olivier GINON, President of the Générale Location Group.
Générale Location, through its two branches, GL Espace et Decor, and GL Mobilier, will be responsible for setting up reception areas at certain venues, as well as supplying and installing furnishings at each of the venues where the 64 matches in the competition are to be played.
As the European leader in designing and fitting out display areas for all kinds of special events, Générale Location has a considerable reputation in the world of trade fairs, salons and exhibitions. It posts revenues of FF 780 million and employs 950 staff.
The companyís 5 divisions combine its various areas of activity, which include the general installation and setting up of stands and exhibitions, light and sound, furniture rentals and recording and broadcasting images. It has fifteen subsidiaries including five abroad, the latest of which was opened in Dubai in April 1997. The companyís impressive arsenal of industrial tools includes an integrated research department, a fleet of 450 vehicles and three maintenance and storage platforms.
