“It’s great to have qualified for the round of 16. Now anything is possible. We can beat NIGERIA (Group D). We’re strong in defence and we’ll be pushing our luck to the limit. My favourites for the title are France (Group C), NETHERLANDS (Group E), ARGENTINA (Group H), BRAZIL (Group A) and ITALY (Group B).”

Brian LADRUP (11):

Answering a question from a Danish journalist as to whether he could see his team making it to a penalty shoot-out: “If we make it that far, it means that we still have a chance of not having to return home the next day. NIGERIA have proven to be one of the best teams since the start of the competition. The public appreciates their style of play.”

Miklos MOLNAR (9):

“I won’t be playing against NIGERIA, because I was suspended, but I have confidence in my team-mates. In these top-level matches, everything is played on a fine line.
