“I am both disappointed and happy with this good result. We knew that GERMANY would take risks right up to the final whistle, that they would not give in, even in the most difficult situation. It’s a shame that we handed control of the game back to our opponents after the goal by Michael TARNAT (21), which I consider to have been an own goal. The Germans then took advantage of the situation. While being satisfied with this result, I still hope to do even better in the match against the UNITED STATES in which we will have to raise our game even further.
