“This final training session before our first match against KOREA REPUBLIC allowed our players to familiarise themselves with the pitch, which I already knew. I deliberately limited access by journalists to preserve the players’ privacy and avoid any pressure on them. I hope there’ll be a lot of Mexicans in the stands to cheer us on. We need their support because the Koreans are strong, very fast and have a good defence. We must watch out for high balls and keep the Koreans out of the penalty area. The important thing is to get three points. Everyone’s fit. Isaac TERRAZAS (16) was down with the ‘flu for four days, but he’s recovered. We’re well prepared, so I’ll sleep well tonight.”
