“This MEXICO (Group E) team worries me, because they’ve had a lot of experience with matches like this. The Mexicans, who are excellent technicians, have now acquired a very strong morale.

I’ve seen them play twice this year, and each time, they were able to bring the score back up after having been behind.

The first time was this year against BRAZIL (Group A) during a competition in SAUDI ARABIA, and the second, on Saturday 20 June in a match against BELGIUM.

It’s the proof that they shouldn’t be underestimated, even if I do have a great deal of confidence in my players.

In any case, we should have a full line-up for this match. Philippe COCU (11) started training again this morning after suffering a slight foot injury during the match against the REPUBLIC OF KOREA (Group E)… and although Ronald DE BOER (7) didn’t train this morning, he should be in shape for the match on Thursday.”
