Statements from Bo JOHANSSON, coach for the DENMARK Team (Group C): “To prepare ourselves for the game against SOUTH AFRICA, we analysed videos which had previously been used by the NORWAY (Group A) coach, Egil OLSEN. The Danish coach for the under-21 side has also been closely studying the SOUTH AFRICA team for the last 6 months. We have seen that if we are to win, we’ll have to play deep and quickly, touching the ball only once or twice before passing. The South Africans caused the French quite a few problems and could nearly have got a draw before they conceded the second goal. They put pressure on the French players in midfield for quite a while. It would certainly be foolish to think this is going to be an easy match.”
