Removal of Wire Fencing: News From The CFO

In mentioning the removal of wire fencing during the presentation of the 1998 Football World Cup given today in Singapore on the occasion of FOOTBALL EXPO 98, Michel Platini and Jacques Lambert gave an account of the results of the work carried out these past weeks under the aegis of the Interministerial Delegation to the Football World Cup.

They confirmed what has already been said recently on numerous occasions, namely that the opinion to date is favourable to the removal of wire fencing in the majority of the stadiums, and that technical or financial problems remain to be resolved in two or three of them.

Therefore, there is no information to add to this matter.
