The 1998 World Cup cities are connected to each other by either the expressways or main highways and each of them has an airport for which numerous additional flights will be scheduled.

The TGV (high-speed train) network, the fastest train in the world, will complete the transportation system. Fast, comfortable and reliable, stopping in the very heart of cities, but still covering the whole country, the TGV will be one of the preferred means of communication for the World Cup.
