“SPAIN is a tough opponent with a very strong overall team game. The Spanish don’t revolve around one player, like BRAZIL with RONALDO, which makes them that much more dangerous as we have to watch out for each and everyone of them. But above all, we will have to concentrate on our own game without being too worried about our opponents. The side with the best team spirit will come out on top.”

Victor IKPEBA (20):

“We’re expecting a very hard match against SPAIN, which is one of the strongest teams in Europe. We’ve had a few problems in our last warm-up games and we’ve worked on our shooting this last week. The World Cup is a competition like no other and the squad is ready for this adventure. The best birthday present I could have would obviously be to win on Saturday (Victor IKPEBA will be 25 on 12 June).”

Bora MILUTINOVIC (Coach):

“For the time being, the morale of the team is high, and there are no problems within the squad. In this type of competition, nothing is pre-ordained; every team has a chance, NIGERIA as well as BRAZIL, or even JAMAICA.”
