FRANCE 98 – Japan – probable team line-up
The Japanese team to face ARGENTINA on Sunday 14th June at 2.30pm at the Stadium in TOULOUSE will probably be similar “with one or two exceptions” to the side that went down 1-0 to YUGOSLAVIA (Group F) in a friendly match on June 3rd. The final starting line-up chosen by coach, Takeshi OKADA should be as follows:
Yoshikatsu KAWAGUCHI (20), Toshihide SAITO (16), Yutaka AKITA (17), Eisuke NAKANISHI (19), Motohiro YAMAGUCHI (6), Hiroshi NANAMI (10), Hidetoshi NAKATA (8), Akira NARAHASHI (2), Naoki SOMA (3), Shoji JO (18) and Masashi NAKAYAMA (9).
Takeshi OKADA will announce the final eleven two hours before the match kicks off. He has however, already informed the players themselves.
