“We’re saying goodbye to the tournament, but I’m happy with my players. I could feel their pride as they played, even though the younger ones will have to fuse better in the team. They’ve all made progress and those who’ll take part in 2002 can nourish hopes of winning.  After this World Cup though, the players will have to show some maturity. I’ve never criticised any of them and I hope they’ll behave the same way towards me.”
