| United States playmaker Claudio Reyna said Sunday he sees Group F opponents Germany as the team under most pressure as the two countries prepare for their June 15 clash in Paris. “With all their experience, the Germans are the favourites,” said Reyna, who knows all about the German squad as he plays for Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga. “But playing Germany first is perhaps a very good thing for the United States as they will be under pressure.They really need to win before taking on Yugoslavia,” said Reyna, who added he considered the Yugoslavs to be the best team in the group. Reyna revealed that the US squad had not discussed the political significance of their match against Iran because “I see the Iranians as a football team and not as a nation.” |
