Brazil-Denmark: fourth meeting between the two nations

The BRAZIL and DENMARK teams, who will meet for the NANTES’ World Cup Quarter Final on Friday July 3, have already met three times before. In 1960 DENMARK won 4-3 and in 1989 they beat them again 4-0. The last match between the two was on July 10 1996 where BRAZIL beat the Danish 5-1. Two players in today’s squad also played in the 1989 match; Michael LAUDRUP (10) for DENMARK and André CRUZ (15) for the BRAZIL team. “DENMARK have not changed since then” said the Seleçao defender; “they’re a team who use the ball well, and technically they’ve nothing to prove. We’ll have to be on top form to make the semi-final.”
