Manpower, the Official Temporary Work Network of the 1998 World Cup.

The French Organising Committee and Manpower announced today the signature of an agreement whereby Manpower will be the Official Temporary Work Network of the 1998 World Cup.

Manpower will bring to the French Organising Committee its expertise in the field of human resources by its implication in the Volunteer Program of the 1998 World Cup. This program will allow approximately 12,000 men and women to participate in the success of the world’s biggest sporting event.

Manpower’s principal assignment will be to help the French Organising Committee in the day-to-day selection of volunteer candidates. This is in fact the expertise of the 2,300 permanent staff of Manpower, spread out in 650 agencies in France, who recruit and send out each day 60,000 temporary staff to enterprises.

Through its partnership with the 1998 World Cup, Manpower intends to contribute, thanks to its network of skills, to the success of what will be, from June 10th to July 12th 1998, one of the largest temporary organisations in the world.

By becoming the seventh Official Supplier of FRANCE 98, Manpower joins Crédit Agricole, EDS, Hewlett-Packard, France Télécom, La Poste and Sybase in the prestigious group of the 1998 World Cup Official Suppliers – French Organising Committee of the 1998 World Cup.
