The World Cup's Most Valuable Object

The golden, diamond-studded Footix is back at the International Media Centre (CIM). The World Cup’s most valuable object is on exhibit today, Sunday 14 June, in the Press Room, until early this evening. This representation of the official mascot is the only one of its kind: it weighs a total of 5 kg, including 2 kg of gold and 1.15 kg of high-quality diamonds (40 carats) decorating the surface of Footix’s football. Designed by Parisian jeweller Marc Princ, this is the key piece of the collection “Footbijoux” and is for sale at the price of FF 2,200,000 ($370,000). It will then be on exhibit at the Warwick Hotel, rue de Berry in PARIS, from Monday 15 June to Thursday June 18.
