FRANCE 98 – 10 July, day of relaxation for the FRANCE team

This 10 July, with two days remaining before the final, players and staff of the FRANCE team spent a relaxed morning. The team walked to the Château Ricard, located near the National Technical Centre of Clairefontaine (southwest of PARIS). The finalists spent two hours horseback riding, fishing, and playing bacchi. Christophe DUGARRY (21) made a name for himself by fishing a lovely perch.

At the end of the afternoon, towards 17h45, the players trained for an hour and a quarter. This relaxed session consisted mostly of stretching, strikes and running. Didier DESCHAMPS (7) and Marcel DESAILLY (8) didn’t train, and Christian KAREMBEU (19) just ran.
