“I’m happy that we’re among the last eight teams. But that’s not enough for us. In my opinion, ARGENTINA is a very good team. Before the World Cup began, I said that they were one of the outsiders. Now, I’d go as far as to say that they’re one of the favourites. The Argentinean players are very experienced and play well in all aspects of the game, such as defence, attack and passing.

Our team is physically and psychologically ready. We’re confident because the team is more mature, with the younger players having gained experience in high level competitions. The team is more effective than it was in Euro 96. After the ENGLAND-ARGENTINA match when the best play was during the first half, I believe that whoever takes the advantage in the first half will be in a stronger position to win.
