Netherlands – Winston Bogarde suffers serious injury to right ankle

Winston BOGARDE (15) has seriously injured his right ankle during a training session for the NETHERLANDS team this Sunday 5 July at La Turbie (near Monaco).

It was while kicking the ball in a light match between NETHERLANDS team players that he lost balance and was said to have felt a violent pain. He has since undergone medical examination to determine the exact nature of his injury, but in any case, it is highly unlikely that he will be able to play in match n°61: NETHERLANDS-BRAZIL (semi-final) on Tuesday 7 July at the Stade Vélodrome in MARSEILLE (kick-off at 21h00).
