“It’s obvious that we made a lot of mistakes against DENMARK (match no. 58). We’ve been over the game with a fine toothcomb and have come to the conclusion that our errors were mainly due to lapses of concentration. The fact that the NETHERLANDS have reached the semi-finals doesn’t surprise me at all. The only real turn-up for the books is CROATIA (3-0 win against GERMANY), in my view. As for our match against the NETHERLANDS (semi-final, match no. 61, in the Stade Vélodrome in MARSEILLE on 7 July at 21h00), I couldn’t possibly tell you how it’ll turn out.”
