14,000 tickets were sold on Tuesday 28 April, making a total of 115,000 tickets sold since reservations opened on 22 April 1998.
55,000 tickets are therefore still up for grabs by telephone for all residents of the 18 countries within the European Economic Space, for first round matches (except the Opener), and round of sixteen games.

Today, 4 million calls from within France and 1 million from abroad were clocked up on France Telecom’s network.
The FRANCE 98 telephone platform, which closed tonight at 8 pm, will be open again tomorrow, Wednesday 29 April, from 8 am to 8 pm. It will likewise be open at the same times the following days for the sale of the 55,000 remaining tickets.
A reminder: reservations for these tickets may be made exclusively by telephone and only on the numbers indicated below on a “first come first served” basis, with a limit of 4 tickets per person per match, and an overall limit of 16 tickets per person:

Payment for tickets ordered may be made by international bank card or, failing this, by certified bank cheque (made out in French francs and which must be received by the French Organising Committee within 7 days of placing the order). The use of a card (card number) or bank account is limited to a single order.
