“We were very disappointed by our performance against ENGLAND (Group G), but we’re still keeping our heads up. I don’t really think that the match against COLOMBIA (Group G) on Saturday 22 June in MONTPELLIER will be that crucial. However, we are going to have to play the way we know how to. We have to show that our place in this World Cup is not thanks to luck.
As far as I’m concerned, even though I came on for Skander SOUAYAH (15) in the 46th minute during the match against ENGLAND, I think that we play very well together, as was seen during the last African Nations Cup. In any case, we can’t do any worse than our first match.”
Skander SOUYAH (15) :
“The way we played against ENGLAND (Group G), didn’t really show what we are capable of. The game against COLOMBIA (Group G), will be crucial, we have to win. After our performance on Monday, we can only get better. The Colombian team will create problems for us, especially with their world-class strikers.
Zoubeir BAYA’s (8) game and mine are definitely complementary. I have a short game and he has a long game, which creates a lot of opportunities. It’s true however that he is more competitive than I am.
