FRANCE 98 – Presentation of the referees for Spain-Paraguay

South African Ian McLEOD will referee the SPAIN-PARAGUAY match (No. 24) at 9:00 pm on Friday 19 June at the stade Geoffroy-Guichard in SAINT-ETIENNE. This 44-year-old referee is married and father of two children. International since 1993, Ian McLEOD is an old hand in international meetings having refereed several qualifying rounds for the ’98 World Cup, the Confederation Cup in 1997 and the U17 World Cup in 1997.

During this meeting, he will be assisted by another South African Aristidis Chris SOLDATOS, 39, and Jamaican Owen POWELL, 44, replacing initially scheduled Achmat SALIE (SOUTH AFRICA). Esfandiar BAHARMAST from the USA will be the fourth official.
