La Beaujoire stadium under aerial surveillance

Exceptional aerial surveillance will be provided for the USA-YUGOSLAVIA match on Thursday 25 June at La Beaujoire Stadium in NANTES. This security measure has already been used for other World Cup games, but will be a first for NANTES. Four helicopters from the 3/67 Parisis Squad will be mobilised to prevent any aeroplanes from flying over the stadium. A radar system will monitor the area, and look-outs will be posted on four water towers.
