Former German International Football Players United with the Family of David Nivel
On the initiative of Gernot Rohr and Uwe Reinders, former players of the Girondins club of BORDEAUX (French division 1), both of German nationality, a fundraising match will be organised in the Colombes stadium on the outskirts of Paris, before the World Cup Final. Proceeds will go towards assisting the family of police officer Daniel Nivel, who suffered grievous bodily injury in LENS on 21 June at the hands of German hooligans. The game will feature former German and French international players and, according to Gernot Rohr, who is currently in charge of the training centre at the BORDEAUX club; Uwe Reinders, Klaus Allofs, Dieter Muller, Franz Beckenbauer, and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have all already agreed to take part.
